Notion Integration

Embed Notion documents directly into Zenhub issues and comments to bring relevant context into your workflow.

With the Notion integration, you can embed content from your Notion documents into issues or comments, bringing documentation and planning context directly into your workspace.

Requirements

• Connecting Notion is done per user from your Zenhub account settings.

• Anyone who wants to view an embedded Notion document needs their own Notion account with access to that page.

Connecting to Notion

1. Navigate to your Zenhub account settings and select Integrations.

2. Under Connect your Notion account, click Connect.

3. A pop-up window will appear in Notion requesting access to your organization.

4. Choose the pages and Notion organizations you want to make viewable from Zenhub.

5. Select the checkboxes beside the pages you want to share and click Allow access.

Embedding Notion documents

1. Copy the share link from your desired Notion document.

2. Paste the link directly into the body of an issue or comment.

3. A preview of the embedded document appears automatically.

If other users haven't connected their Zenhub accounts to Notion, they'll be prompted to connect or dismiss. After dismissing twice, the prompt no longer appears, though they can still connect at any time through their account settings.

FAQ

Q: Why can't my teammate see the Notion preview?
A: They need their own Notion account, connected to Zenhub, with access to that Notion page. Notion permissions apply to everyone viewing the embed.

Q: How do I stop the prompt to connect Notion?
A: Dismiss it twice and it won't appear again. You can still connect Notion at any time from your Zenhub account settings.
